MO Update-January

Mountain Fog

Mountain Obsession strives to have continual, quality outdoor content uploaded to our site daily. That is why we are always looking for submissions from The Global Mountain Tribe (that is you!). Photos, quotes, videos etc. of anything that you do in the outdoors are always welcome. To quote Maddie, any cool content of you “getting after it!” Mountain Obsession is always a work in progress, but with contributions from the Global Mountain Tribe, we are confident we are making the world a better place through our love and passion for the Great Outdoors!

Top 5 Mountain Obsession Posts For January 2014

Madd-Hungry Recipes – Put together by GMT member and fitness addict, Robyn Madden. This will be a monthly section featuring healthy recipes to help you refuel and execute at the highest level. She welcomes submissions of your favourite outdoor fuel.

Mountain Dog of the Month: Crux – This section is a favourite with the Global Mountain Tribe. This month, Crux is featured. Crux has an impressive 37 summits to his name … not bad for a puppy. Crux’s owner, Matt Hobbs is the mind behind www.on-top.ca, who Mountain Obsession is partnered with. Again, if you have a mountain dog, we want to hear from you! Dogs for the win.

Shred Or Be Dead – This section was recently launched and is the Ski / Snowboard aspect of Mountain Obsession. It is the motto that the original Global Mountain Tribe members have been yelling as we charge down a line of pow. It sums up the MO approach to shredding. We are always looking for photos or videos of friends having fun ripping resorts, backcountry or rails. Be sure to hastag #SHREDORBEDEAD and stay tuned for the official Shred Or Be Dead website (www.shredorbedead) launching soon in addition to seeing some #ShredOrBeDead merch in the forthcoming Mountain Obsession clothing line.

WWW: Chilly Edition – Another favourite, Walchuck Wildlife Wednesday’s has taken off lately. Featuring photos from cousins, Mike and Jason Walchuck, this section offers insight into wildlife from around North America. Look for it every Wednesday and be sure to drop the boys a line with your wildlife snaps.

Photo of the Week: Photobomb – This one seems to have received a bunch of hits. While showing their support for the Global Mountain Tribe on New Year’s Eve in Canmore, Mike and Colin were photobombed by a pair of beautiful MTNBABES. Needless to say, it was decided that this was the photo of the week. All photos submitted to MO are entered in the Photo of the Week contest and the winner will be contacted regarding a bag of swag!
